Meet Your Maker Tonight at PRI

If you’re in Eugene this evening, you really ought to come down and visit us tonight at The Pizza Research Institute on 3rd and Blair!  We will be selling cards at this summer’s first Meet Your Maker Arts & Crafts show!  Twin Ravens Press has participated in Meet Your Maker since it started, and it’s always a really fun show.  This show is outdoors and there will be over twenty local arts and crafts vendors selling their goods (including us!), tasty vegetarian & vegan pizza to purchase, awesome beer and a chance to win a $100.00 gift certificate to Ninkasi Brewing!  Be there or be square!  See you later!

Weddings | Chatie & Hanzy

2010 seems to be just flying by folks!  While we’re still well in the middle of printing wedding invitations for 2010 though, I’m excited to show off our first 2011 invitation to you today!  We designed these lovelies for a couple getting married in the Philippines this coming January and letterpress printed them last week.

I love how warm and tropical this design feels!  Chatie had us design and print her invitation, which is a standard A7 size, and was printed on Crane Lettra 100% cotton Pearl White paper.  We created a lovely and whimsical starfish/bubble pattern along the bottom and right edge that was blind embossed for a wonderful, textural effect.  We also created and blind embossed a fun interwoven monogram of Chatie & Hanzy’s initials for the top.  All of the wording is handwritten calligraphy by Fran Heider of Little Flower Calligraphy.  We’ve worked with Fran on numerous projects and her work is always absolutely gorgeous!  All of the calligraphy was made into a letterpress printing plate and printed by us, using a light turquoise ink.  Check out some of the details below.

I absolutely loved working with Chatie to create her invitations, and I know that her wedding in the Philippines this upcoming January is going to be just beautiful!  Congratulations Chatie & Hanzy and all the best to you!

Custom Business Cards | Dallin Millard

Hot off the press earlier this week were these awesome business cards for a Salem, Oregon graphic designer Dallin Millard.  Dallin had purchased one of our “You Turn Me On” cards from our etsy shop a few weeks back, and shortly after, contacted me about custom printing his brand new business cards.  How could I say no to such a cool design?!?

Dallin’s cards were printed on Crane Lettra 100% cotton Pearl White paper in two ink colors: a deep burgundy red and a bright, golden yellow.  This design was somewhat tricky to register with all of the little tiny lines in different colors that had to line up just right, but once we got it, the look and texture of the cards was just too cool.

Aside from designing awesome business cards (like the ones you see above and below!!) for his own business, Dallin also does graphic design work in a variety of other areas including poster design, typography, layout and packaging.  If you like these cards and are interested in working with Dallin on a design project of your own, get in touch with him!  You can also check out some of his other design work on his website.  Go check it out – he’s doing great things!  Furthermore, if you like the look of these cards and are interested in having your own business cards letterpress printed by Twin Ravens Press, please don’t hesitate to contact us.  We would love to work with you!

Thanks again Dallin!  You rock!

Featured! | Etsy Treasury: Just Another Day

Hi all!  So sorry for the lack of blogging as of late, it’s just been super-busy around here this summer!  I wanted to do a quick post though and let you all know that our Chocolate Lab with Heart greeting cards were featured today in an Etsy Treasury entitled “Just Another Day”.  We sell a lot of these cards around Valentine’s Day, but they are great for sending any time of year!  If you’d like one for your very own, they are available in our etsy shop right here.  Cheers!
