Custom Business Cards | Oregon Social Media

Twin Ravens Press is very excited to be working with Don Jeter and his fiance, Stephanie, at Oregon Social Media.  Oregon Social Media is a new company based here in Eugene that specializes in helping businesses and non-profit organizations understand and use social media.  Whether it’s helping your business network with consumers and other businesses and organizations through social media sites like Twitter, Facebook and Google+, or helping you start or manage a blog, or put on a guerrilla marketing campaign, Oregon Social Media is your source to turn to.

We were excited to work with Don and Stephanie on letterpress printing their business cards this past December.  Don’s cards are printed on a heavy, 100% cotton, duplex weight stock in three ink colors.  The logo side of the card was printed in two different greens with the word “Oregon” being a knock-out to the white of the paper.  This made the “Oregon” stand up a little bit while the words “Social Media” and outline of the state were pressed into the paper.  It was a very fun logo to letterpress print!  The back side of their card features their website and contact information.  I love the clean, modern look of this design!

Shortly after printing their business cards, we were also hired to print a really sweet set of coasters for their office!  These were printed in light green on our 3.5″ square, recycled pulp-board coaster stock.  Aren’t they cool?!?

If you’re an Oregon small business or non-profit looking to launch your marketing into the 21st century, contact Oregon Social Media!   You can also check out their website and blog.  They wrote a really nice article about us there too!

Thanks so much Don & Stephanie!  I’m looking forward to working with you again soon!

Custom Business Cards | In The Now Weddings & Events

Check out the awesome new business cards we letterpress printed earlier this fall for California wedding and event planner, Amanda Auer, and her staff, at In the Now Weddings & Events!  Twin Ravens Press had worked with Amanda before on a set of awesome promotional cards which you can see here, so I was pretty excited when she came back to us in search of new business cards for her company.  These cards are small – only 2″ square – and utilized a couple of different printing techniques to achieve the best result.  Generally speaking, printing large floods of color, like the black that you see on the back of the In The Now Weddings cards, isn’t very feasible with letterpress.  You can print large areas of color, but you won’t get much impression, and the color that you’re printing will often turn out really splotchy.  Amanda wanted a very clean looking, very black back for her cards with the thin white logo for her company showing through.  In order to achieve this we had the back sides offset printed on to Crane Lettra 110 lb. cotton paper and then the reverse side with the contact information was printed on the letterpress.  This allowed for some lovely texture on the backside, without sacrificing the quality and uniformity of the front.

I really love working with Amanda and I can tell you that it’s totally obvious that she and her staff just love what they do.  If you’d like to know more about In the Now Weddings & Events, you can check out their website or head over and visit their blog.  Go check them out – you won’t be disappointed that you did!

Thanks so much again Amanda!  You rock!

Mini Promotional Notecards | In The Now Weddings

Are you getting married in Orange County, California this coming spring, summer or fall? If the answer is yes, you really ought to contact Amanda Auer, the owner and wedding planner behind In the Now Weddings and Events. Amanda contacted me back in August of last year because she was holding a special party to promote her business and wanted some really special and unique favors to hand out to her guests. What Amanda desired was to create a set of letterpress-printed, modern, 3″ square, folded notecards with envelopes in sets of 5, with different love-related quotes on them, that guests could take home. I thought it was a really sweet idea! Amanda came up with the quotes and the design and Twin Ravens Press did the letterpress printing! Here are all five, sweet, mini-notes together. Click on the picture to make it larger if you’d like to read the quotes.

I love the modern style of these sweet, little cards and I love how Amanda made them coordinate with the look and branding of her business. Each card measures 3″ square, when folded, and was printed with black ink on Crane Lettra Bright White 100% cotton paper. The quotation was featured on the front and the In The Now Weddings logo was featured on the back. Each card came with a coordinating white envelope.
Isn’t this an awesome idea for a promotional giveaway?!? I love it! It’s way better and more memorable than ordering something generic as a promotional item, like magnets or pens. Here are a few more images so you can see the cards closer.
So cool! Working with Amanda was a real pleasure and I imagine hiring her to coordinate a wedding or event would be equally rewarding. I hope she and I get to work together again in the future!
If you are interested in having a custom promotional card or other letterpress printed favor created for your business, wedding or upcoming event, please contact us. We’d love to talk to you about your ideas!
Thank you so much Amanda! Keep up the great work!
