Cool Business Cards for COOL Creative, Inc.

COOL1

A little while ago we were hired to print a set of really cool (no pun intended) business cards for COOL Creative, Inc. in Miami, Florida.  COOL Creative is an award-winning, multi-disciplinary creative studio with world-class experience in the tourism, entertainment, retail, B2B, non-profit organizations, and hospitality markets.  They specialize in developing thoughtful creative that leverages a diverse mix of media platforms so that messages will resonate better with consumers.  Check out their website or blog!

COOL Creative’s super-cool business cards were letterpress printed on a custom duplexed black and white stock.  The white side featured their contact information and logo, along with a functional QR code in black ink.  The reverse, black side featured a repeating pattern of their logo printed in a varnish.

The black and white duplex paper is fancy in and of itself, but in order to make these cards even fancier, we also edge-painted them with a bright, neon green edge paint.  Super-COOL!

Thanks so much, Johanne and Terrance, for working with us on this project!!

Custom Business Cards | Color & Dust

Earlier this year, we created a gorgeous, timeless, set of custom letterpress business cards for Kelsey Strawn of Color & Dust in Tyler, Texas.  Kelsey hired us to rebrand her photography business and I just love the logo and business card design we came up with!  Above you can see the finished letterpress business cards we made.  Kelsey’s cards feature rounded corners and were printed in silver ink on ultra-thick Crane Lettra 100% cotton duplex 220 lb. paper.  We used a combination of an ultra-modern san-serif font for the logo and a fun handwritten script for the tagline and URL.

As an extra special finishing touch, we also edge painted Kelsey’s cards in silver!  I just love how modern and timeless these are!  Perfect for a photography business!

This is actually the second set of business cards Color & Dust has had us print.  The original set was done in the same design and was printed on a custom, handmade purple paper from Porridge Papers in gold ink.  These cards were super-awesome too, but unfortunately, I fogot to take photos of them.  : (  At any rate, I just love working with Kelsey, and her photography is amazing!  If you’re in or near Tyler, Texas, you should definitely look her up!

Kelsey was kind enough to share a few of her favorite images with us!  All photos below courtesy of Color & Dust.

Aren’t her photos just lovely!?!  I love her heavy use of natural lighting and bright colors!  If I had kiddos, I would totally hire Kelsey to do family portraits or pictures of my kids.  Seriously, if you’re in Texas, go check out Color & Dust!

Custom Business Cards | Adair Cannada Design

Check out this awesome set of edge-painted business cards we created last fall for Adair Cannada of Adair Cannada Design in Nashville, Tennessee!  These letterpress business cards were printed with two ink colors, double-sided, on thick, 220 lb. 100% cotton Crane Lettra paper.  Each card featured a lovely light blue, and a dark slate grey ink on both sides to make up Adair’s logo and contact information!

As an extra special finishing touch, we edge painted Adair’s cards with the same light blue color as we printed on the front and back.  I just love how edge painting adds a little extra pizazz to any card design!

Thanks so much for working with us on these Adair!  You rock!

Weddings | Anna & Matthew

I can’t believe it’s been nearly 3 weeks since my last post.  Sheesh!  It’s been busy, but in an awesome sort of way.  We’ve gotten to work on so many cool projects in the last few weeks, I don’t even know where to start.

Last week we finished the awesome 3-color invitation you see above for Anna and Matthew.  Anna and Matt are getting married at the end of June in Pennsylvania, and I couldn’t help but show off this invitation, because it’s just so pretty.  I love it when couples incorporate bright, cheery colors into their designs (plus, I just really love orange).

Anna and Matt designed their invitation themselves based off of the design we printed for Weddingbee’s Mrs. Panther last year.  You can see Stephanie’s invitations here.  Anna changed up the fonts and colors for her design, but kept the layout fairly similar.  As you can see below, the invitations were letterpress printed on heavyweight 100% cotton duplex paper in three ink colors: two shades of orange and a lovely light blue.

The letterpress impression on these turned out totally awesome!!

As a gorgeous finishing touch, Anna and Matt had us edge-paint their invitations in a similar light blue to the blue we used to print their names.  This is a gorgeous finishing touch and really adds to the beauty and uniqueness of their invitations!

Again, that color combination just makes me smile.  It really feels like summer might be around the corner when we get to print invitations like these!

Thanks so much for working with us Anna & Matt!  If you ever need anything else, please don’t hesitate to let me know!

Custom Business Cards | Floataway Studios

Hi Everybody!  Wow – February has just flown by!  We’ve been up to so many cool things lately, I don’t even know where to begin.  So, let’s start with some awesome and cute business cards that we finished earlier this month for Los Angeles-based Floataway  Studios!   Floataway Studios is a creative collective specializing in weddings and lifestyle portraiture and videography.  They’re based in LA, but available worldwide.  You can check out their website from the link above or check out their blog here!

I had so much fun working with Mary to create Floataway’s new business cards, which you can see above and below.  The cards are letterpress printed on 100% cotton, super-thick duplex paper stock with grey ink on one side and turquoise ink on the other.  The first side features their logo in grey and the other features their website and email in the turquoise.  I love Floataway’s adorable logo and modern fonts, but the coolest thing about these cards is their custom shape!  Seriously, how often do you see a cloud-shaped business card floating around?  Each card was printed and then custom-die cut on our press into their cute, totally unique shape.  I love them!

If you love Floataway’s cards, you should go and check out their photography on their website and or blog.  It’s adorable!!

Thanks so much for working with us Mary!  If you need anything else, just let me know!

Custom Business Cards | Frauke Nelte Photography

Check out these awesome new business cards we designed and letterpress printed for Frauke of Frauke Nelte Photography! Frauke specializes in digital landscape photography and is based out of Eugene, Oregon.  When she and I originally talked, she wanted to incorporate elements of a landscape as well as a camera or an image of other photographic equipment into her card.  She also wanted a card that was unique and would stand out in a crowd.  These are what we came up with!

Frauke’s cards are 2.5″ squares with rounded corners and are printed on custom duplex Wausau Eclipse Black paper.  These cards feature two of my favorite, modern typefaces, a vintage 4″x5″ camera imprinted in the background and a lovely tree with leaves floating down amongst the text.  Originally, Frauke wanted to incorporate an image of a tree from her home town in Germany that she had taken into the design of the card, but the tree was so large that we ended up making a smaller, graphical representation of one of its branches to use, rather than the whole tree itself.  As a finishing touch, each of these cards features matching copper edge painting, which really helps make the copper text and tree stand out.

Aren’t these awesome!?!  Check out Frauke’s photography on her website, and if you’re interested in working with her, you can contact her by email.  Thanks so much for working with me on these Frauke!  Keep up the beautiful work!
