Join Us for the First Friday Art Walk at Passionflower Design

Eugene, Oregon!  Join us this afternoon, Friday, February 5th for the First Friday Art Walk in downtown, Eugene!  We will be doing a letterpress demo at Passionflower Design located at 128 West Broadway, along with members of the Valley Calligraphy Guild who will be showing off impressive penmanship, just in time for all of your Valentine’s Day card and shopping needs!

You may have joined us for Art Walk at Passionflower this past December when we were there right before Christmas!  If you did, you would have seen me with our tiniest letterpress Kelsey, aka “The Brat” printing the adorable holiday tags pictured below (that’s me, in the suspenders!).

Join us again for a new letterpress printing demo, some pink champagne, gorgeous Valentine’s cards and gifts, and more from 5 pm – 9 pm!  I hope to see you there!

Join Us Tomorrow for the Letterpress Printer’s Fair in Portland, OR!

If you’re in Portland, Oregon, join us tomorrow for the 5th Annual Portland Letterpress Printer’s Fair, held in conjunction with Design Week Portland!  This year’s fair is going to be held from noon to 7pm on Saturday, October 12th at the Oregon Rail Heritage Center, which is located at 2250 SE Water Avenue.  Twin Ravens Press will be selling new greeting cards and paper goods along with old favorites.  There will also be several other independent artists, designers and small studios represented at the fair.  Come down and visit and see the wide variety of awesome letterpress goods we and our fellow Pacific Northwest artists have to offer.  Admission is free and Ninkasi Brewing is donating beer for the event!  We hope to see you there!!

Hey Everybody!  Long time, no see!  I have been a terrible blogger this summer.  As you read in my last post (that happened in the middle of June) a lot new has been happening this summer for us logistically, as well as keeping up with all of the awesome new design and letterpress stuff we would have been doing anyway.  We moved into our new space in July and it’s awesome!  I still need to take some pictures to post up here and show you – but, trust me, it’s pretty great!

More updates and photos of awesome new work are coming soon, but in the meantime, if you’re going to be in Portland, Oregon tomorrow, Saturday, October 13th, you should come down and visit us at the 5th Annual Portland Letterpress Printer’s Fair.  This year the fair is being held at a new location: ADX, which is located at 417 SE 11th.  This year’s fair is going to feature lots of printed ephemera and other goodies, letterpress equipment and supplies for sale, printing demos, Kyle Durrie’s Moveable Type Truck, and live viewing of the Print Make Share Challenge.  It should be pretty awesome!!  The 2012 Letterpress Printer’s Fair is also happening in conjunction with Design Week Portland, so there’s going to be a lot of other, awesome, design-related stuff to see in the area.  So, if you’re in the Portland area, and have interest in letterpress printing, great design, moveable type, Twin Ravens Press, and/or all of the above, come on out to ADX between noon and 7:00 pm!  I’ll look forward to seeing you!!

 

 

Visit Us at the 4th Annual Letterpress Printer's Fair in Portland!

We’ve been super-busy this week preparing for the 4th Annual Letterpress Printer’s Fair in Portland, Oregon tomorrow!  If you’re in Portland, come down to 323 SE Division Place, next to the Em Space Book Arts Center and visit us!  This is an annual fair featuring local and regional Letterpress printers and book artists, suppliers of letterpress equipment and type, ephemera, rarities, broadsides, cards and more!  Twin Ravens Press will be showing off new items from our custom printing portfolio, and we will also have cards, coasters and other art prints for sale.  This is a great event to come and hang out with us and meet lots of other wonderful artists and printers too!

Meet Your Maker Holiday Sale this Sunday!

If you’re in Eugene this Sunday, come down and visit us at the Meet Your Maker Holiday Sale on Sunday afternoon from 1-5 pm!  Twin Ravens has been participating in this show for quite some time and it’s a really great opportunity to both show, sell, and shop for handmade goods made by all sorts of people in Eugene.  We’re joining 24 other vendors who will be selling everything from handmade textiles to ceramics to letterpress printed cards!  So, if you want something fun to do in Eugene on Sunday afternoon (as well as a great opportunity for some holiday shopping) come down and visit us in the Cozmic Pizza/Theo’s Coffee house building, located at 199 W. 8th Avenue in Eugene between 1 and 5 pm.  This event is family friendly, and beer, wine and pizza will also be available.  See you there!

Join Us For the Third Annual Letterpress Printer's Fair in Portland!

If you’re in Portland, Oregon, tomorrow, Saturday, August 14th, you should come and visit us at the Third Annual Letterpress Printer’s Fair!  This show only happens once a year and features many different studios and individuals from the Portland Letterpress Community as well as shops (like ours!) from other parts of Oregon and Washington!  The Printer’s Fair is an outdoor event and will be held at the Em Space Book Arts Center, which is located at 323 SE Division Place near the start of the Spring Water Corridor Trail.  The show will feature vendors and suppliers of letterpress printing equipment, foundry type, cards, broadsides, ephemera and more.  There are going to be many great deals to be had and a lot of folks available to answer questions about letterpress printing.  So, if you’re in Portland, and if you’ve ever been curious about what we do, and would like to see us in-person, come on down and say “Hi!”.  We’d love to see you!

Meet Your Maker Tonight at PRI

If you’re in Eugene this evening, you really ought to come down and visit us tonight at The Pizza Research Institute on 3rd and Blair!  We will be selling cards at this summer’s first Meet Your Maker Arts & Crafts show!  Twin Ravens Press has participated in Meet Your Maker since it started, and it’s always a really fun show.  This show is outdoors and there will be over twenty local arts and crafts vendors selling their goods (including us!), tasty vegetarian & vegan pizza to purchase, awesome beer and a chance to win a $100.00 gift certificate to Ninkasi Brewing!  Be there or be square!  See you later!

Holiday Meet Your Maker Show & Sale this Sunday!

Happy Friday Everyone! If you’re in the Eugene/Springfield, Oregon area this weekend and are looking for something fun to do, come out to the Meet Your Maker Holiday Show + Sale this Sunday at the Fenario Gallery in downtown Eugene! The Fenario Gallery is located at 881 Willamette Street and the show will run from 11:00-5:00. The Fenario Gallery is a much larger space than the show has been in before, so there will be many more vendors and lots of holiday goodies to check out! I’ve been busy this week printing up lots and lots of holiday cards, all of which will be available on Sunday!

June Meet Your Maker & First Friday Artwalk Tomorrow!

If you’re in the Eugene/Springfield, Oregon area tomorrow and are looking for something fun to do on Friday night, you should come downtown for the First Friday Artwalk!  All of our local galleries will be open and food and beverages will be served!  While you are looking at all of the awesome art, you should also swing by The Broadway Wine Bar on the corner of Broadway and Charnelton Streets.  The Broadway is hosting a wine tasting as well as the one year anniversary of the Meet Your Maker Indie Arts and Crafts Show and Sale tomorrow evening from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.  Both the admission to the show and wine tasting are free!  You can see the poster for the show at the top of this post.  Twin Ravens Press will have a booth there and you can also shop with other fabulous local/Oregon artists and small businesses including: La Petite Vie, Loop’d, Bellybaloo, Firefly Jewelry Design, Practical Rabbit and several others!  Come down, see some cool art, drink some wine and check it out!
