Weddings | Bianca & Paul

The day after Christmas, a lovely couple that we had the pleasure of working with from Paris, France, were married in the Philippines.  Talk about an awesome destination wedding!  Bianca and I designed her invitations via email and Skype, and the results were truly awesome!  She was looking for a classy and sophisticated design that spoke to both their ceremony, and maturity as a couple.  We chose to use a beautiful damask pattern and classic fonts printed in silver ink to achieve this look!  Each invitation was letterpress printed as an A7 size in one ink color (silver) on super-thick, 220# Crane Lettra Duplex paper.  After they were printed, we then laser-cut each invitation out to give it the cool, scalloped edges that you can see in the photos.  To make these invites even more unique and special, we also edge painted all of them with shimmery copper edge paint.  A set of A7 envelopes were also printed with Bianca & Paul’s return address on the flap to compliment the invitation!  I just love how this classy set of invites turned out, and it was such a joy working with Bianca!  Check out more photos of the finished invites below!  Thanks so much again for working with us Bianca!  I’m sure your wedding a few weeks ago was just beautiful!  If you ever need anything else, please don’t hesitate to ask!  Thanks again!

Weddings | Ciara & Andrew

It’s no secret here, at Twin Ravens Press we just loving working with Australian couples!  As far as I’m concerned, the Aussies are some of the sweetest people on the planet, and they have such consistently great taste in wedding stationery!  Gotta love ’em!

Ciara & Andrew were no exception to the rule when it came to an international couple who was awesome to work with, and who had a great sense of style!  Ciara wanted a classic, formal, damask-style invite in her wedding colors: grey and yellow, and I was super-excited to work with her on it!  She and fiance, Andrew, are getting married in just a few short weeks in a destination wedding in the Philippines.  I designed and letterpress printed their invite and invite envelope this past fall and I just love how they turned out!

Check out a detail of the impression below!  Ciara’s invitations were printed on Holyoke 100% cotton rag, bone white paper.  They’re a classic style with the couple’s names in script and a damask border all around.  I love the letterpress impression of this design on the Holyoke paper!

Ciara and Andrew’s A7 size invites were paired with a matching grey envelope from Waste Not Paper Company. We printed their return address on the flap of each envelope in the same fonts in black ink.  I just love this design and I know that Ciara & Andrew’s destination wedding in the Philippines is going to be just beautiful!  Congratulations Ciara & Andrew!

Beautiful Photos from Boracay, Philippines

You may remember that last summer I worked on a really beautiful wedding invitation that was made up of letterpress calligraphy and blind embossed elements, for a couple getting married in Boracay, Philippines in January 2011.  That couple was Chatie and Hanzy, and you can see the post I did about their wedding stationery here.  Or, if you don’t want to click on the link, below is a reminder photo of how their wedding invitation turned out.  This invite had a blind embossed monogram at the top, and blind embossed tropical motifs along the bottom and right side.  The text of the invitation was printed in a light turquoise blue and the calligraphy for it was created by Fran Heider of Little Flower Calligraphy.  Isn’t it pretty?!?

Well, I was super-excited to hear from Chatie the other day, almost six months after we completed their invitations.  She e-mailed me to say thank you again for creating her and her now-husband’s wedding invitations, and to say that the wedding went absolutely beautifully.  She even sent pictures.  : )  Check them out below!

Such a gorgeous and wonderfully nice couple, and I love their super-tropical pictures!  Thanks so much for staying in touch with us Chatie!  If you ever need anything else, please don’t hesitate to ask.  All the best!
